Yesterday, through the efforts of the Philanthropic Committee, members of the TriBridge Partners team volunteered at Horizon Day Camp.
Horizon Day Camp-Baltimore started in 2016, with the mission to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings, through the creation of Day Camps, Year-Round Programs, and In-Hospital Recreational Activities, all offered free of charge.
Daily activities include music, arts and crafts, sports, swimming, nature activities, and more. Goals include helping children develop friendships, confidence, and interpersonal skills while enjoying the simple pleasures of childhood. Horizons opens up the community to the children during the summer camp and throughout the year, creating opportunities for them to learn, have fun, and enjoy new experiences, without barriers to entry and amid a safe and inclusive setting.
Our team helped to create a FUN memorable day for children struggling with a cancer diagnosis… and we threw them a pizza party!
Everyone who participated in this program really enjoyed spending time with these wonderful kids – volunteering is good for the soul and makes such a positive impact on our communities.
